Saint Ford has worked hard to achieve her childhood dream of becoming of nurse. Focused on her work and devoted to her patients, there’s no room for love. She doesn’t need a guy making waves in her calm, serene life—especially when he’s the unforgettable hottie who nearly destroyed her in high school. Dark, brooding Nash Donovan might not remember her or the terrible pain he caused. But he turned her world upside down... and now he’s trying to do it again.
Saint has no idea that Nash isn’t the cocky player he once was. Uncovering a devastating family secret has rocked his world, and now he’s struggling to figure out his future. He can’t be distracted by the pretty nurse he seems to meet everywhere. Still, he can’t ignore the sparks that fly between them —or how she seems so desperate to get away from him. But the funny, sweet, and drop-dead gorgeous Saint is far too amazing to give up on—especially since she’s the only thing in his life that seems to make sense.
When Nash discovers the truth about their past, he realizes he may have lost her heart before he could even fight for it. Now, Saint has to decide: is Nash worth risking herself for all over again?(
Saint and Nash went to school together, yeah that’s right HIGHSCHOOL, it seems so far away for me, but if you must high school it is. She wasn’t the typical pretty girl, the size 2 beauty, no Saint Ford was the average girl with fiery red hair and little on the curvier side. She loved her some Nash, they shared a locker next to each other, but one day she happened to overhear Nash say something that was not meant for her, but poor Saint too it and ran with it. Years pass, and the self-esteem just crumbled, never being with anyone sexually intriguing all because of one bad boy name Nash.
Nash was older now, he was a man. A very tempting man who would bag any girl he would see, but there was something about this Saint Ford that he couldn’t step away from. A family illness causes the two to become more aware of one’s self, and they both become a little preserved on how one should be together. Trust was a factor, and being a big tattoo guy that runs a tattoo shop and ER Nurse- those two in society would not mesh.
But you can’t help you fall in love with, " Love isn’t something you can negotiate, Nash. When it happens, it becomes everything.”
Nash helps Saint with her fears, while Saint helps Nash become a better person, a lot of struggles to get where they end, but it was all worth it. In each of these books you see a side of the Marked Men that you would never see on the outside, just like judging a book by its cover, if it’s a ugly cover than the story must be ugly, however with the Marked Men they are beautiful inside and out!
Both Paula Costello, and Tad Branson did well on the narration of Saint and Nash- Paula played a great Young adult narrator and Tad Branson… well he did great for Nash!! Excellent and definitely kept me interested.
