Having had read Until November as an e-book, I was excited to jump into Trevor and Liz’s story. However, I felt disconnected to the story. I am not sure if the disconnection came from the narrators or the way the story is written. While both narrators had pleasant voices, I didn’t feel the connection the narrators should have felt to the characters. The story felt somewhat forced, and I can’t pinpoint exactly why.
Nevertheless, I really enjoyed the majority of the story. Liz is such an awesome character. She is down to earth, sweet, shy, realistic, and funny. My favorite scene is with Trevor’s ex Jen, Liz gets to stick up for herself and the scene had me laughing out loud. I am not going to give too much away but the scene involves a bed, a haircut, and very scared Jen. I think Saskia did a good job with the shy character.
Trevor is not my favorite book boyfriend, but did have some sexy characteristics. He is a yummy alpha male with a crude personality. While sometimes he came off smug, other times he can be sweet and completely dedicated. If I sound confused with feelings regarding him, it is because I am confused. I just felt up and down throughout the whole book. Roger did a good job with Trevor he has a nice clear and pleasant tone. I enjoyed listening to him.
The story just seem to lack the focus I was looking for, but it clearly set up the next book in the series which sounds like it will be good, overall I enjoyed the characters and will most likely continue with the series.
