The doctors believe that Amy will regain her lost memories, either little by little or all at once. Meanwhile, pieces of her past return to her in her dreams. She sees Adam - or someone who resembles Adam - but this man is still very different from the one who stands before her. Now, Amy must sift through her memories to discover who she was before the coma, who she is now, who she wants to be - and whether Adam is really as trustworthy as he claims.
My favorite type of story- based in college age setting. Nothing makes me giggle than a life of the young.
Based off the synopsis, I really thought we were going to go into this story with a girl who wakes up from a coma to not know what happened to her life in the past 2 years to not know her loving boyfriend. But based off that did she know Adam or was there someone else? So yes, I was intrigued right away. I want to note also that again one of my favorite narrators Kate Rudd does it again delivering us a fantastic audio.
Amy is the leading lady in the story. She was in an accident and was in a coma for the past 3 weeks. Not remembering her life from 2 years on, this would include Adam her boyfriend who she lives with. She comes from a rich/political family that controls her move, however for her she feels like she broke away from her family because the apartment that she lives in isn't anything out of the Rich and Famous.
Adam, while he is so frustrated with what is becoming of Amy, he tries everything to get Amy to regain her memory. I liked Adam right away, some reviews I read hated him from the start, I disagree. He was consistent in her life - even in the life of the book. He insured her safety every step of the way. With every dream Amy has, she see's Adam not in the way that she see's him now.
First kiss: in my room
First Date: rock climbing
First time we had sex: in a suite up against a wall...
Intoxicating....
Amy: What do you want from me?
Adam:
I want you to feel!
Adam:
Stop trying so hard to remember, just feel me....
Because of the narration from Kate Rudd, and the mystery of how Amy forgotten her memory, this kept me intrigued and kept me wanting more. On a audio stand point, this is a quick listen at only 6hrs and 22 mins.
I do want to compend the author on making us feel her lost, scared sense of urgency with her relationship with Adam. You felt how lost she was and I appreciate that being a setting point in the book.
