However, when Honor St. James enters the picture the lines of vengeance become blurry for the big bad Gabriel Wolfe. Honor’s connection to the man Gabriel wants to take down complicates an already complicated situation.
Honor St. James is a beautiful smart woman used to working with wealthy men, but nothing could have prepared her for the dark sexy Gabriel Wolfe. She just can’t seem to stay away from the dangerous man, although she knows his intentions are far from pure, one taste and she is addicted to Mr. Wolfe.
Mine to Take is the first in the Nine Circles Club series and I am hooked. Jackie Ashenden is great with detailed descriptions and she paints a complete picture with her words. The characters are developed with such detail by exposing each character’s inner dialog, which really made an emotional impact. Mine to Take consumed me from the beginning to the end, and the level of suspense kept me on the edge and wanting more.
Honor St. James is strong determined and passionate. Gabriel is intimidating, mysterious, and aloof. Together these two had an electric pull strong it could not be denied. They created so much heat it shaped some incredibly steamy scenes.
Mine to Take is Read by Romy Nordlinger and the narration is amazing. She really brings all the characters to life and knows how to use her tone to create more impression. Romy is one of the best narrators I have heard. She reminds me a lot of the narrator from the TV show Desperate Housewives. The way she gives each character their own voice kept the book easy to follow and kept me wanting more. I look forward to hearing more of her narration in the future.
With the winning combination of author and narrator I highly recommend Mine to Take.
