Joshua Daniels is certainly not even close to the right choice. In fact, he is exactly the wrong choice. For one thing, he's Mason Langley's best friend and best man. Second, he's too much of a risky complication for Shelly to even consider.
Then why can't she stop thinking about how delicious he looked that first night she met him at Exquisite? Why is it so imperative to keep her lusty desire for a man that doesn't meet her preconceived mold hidden from Lena and Mason, her trusted friends?
It seems unreasonable that being with a man completely wrong in theory could somehow feel so right. Then why is it the more she sees him the more enticing he becomes?(
In the second book in this series, Mackenzie Cartwright narrated this book and showed good emotion when speaking. It was nice that it was the same narrator from the first book of the series.
Dr. Shelly Monroe shows a whole other side to herself in this book. She is still the outspoken best friend to Lena but you see some of her insecurities come out in this book. Shelly didn't have any luck with men. She always seemed to pick the toe curling "sex on legs" type of man, but also with frivolous aspirations, that costs Shelly more than just heart ache. Lately she's been focusing on dating the more "reliable" type of man, but realizing that they are just boring to her. This stems from a childhood that will surprise the readers.
At one of the family dinners that Mason and Lena have at Exquisite, Shelly meets Joshua Daniels, Mason's best man, in what appears to be a fix up and she stops it cold. Joshua has the delicious body with a personality to match, but she feels like he's too risky of a choice for her, even though she gives him the nickname Delicious Daniels. Looks can be deceiving though, Josh is very successful and is looking to settle down himself after being burned by a previous girlfriend. Josh comes up with a few nicknames for her too! Both Shelly and Josh are quick to judge each other, but are also quick to start secret rendezvous to sate their obvious lust for one another. You can feel the pull between the two and I honestly was beginning to get frustrated with both of the characters at times to just drop the act. If you thought Mason and Lena were hot and steamy, just wait until you read about Shelly and Josh. Their love for each other is apparent and you really hope that they get past their demons.
Ella Frank writes about men that are willing to fight for their women and you'll fall for Joshua easily! I enjoyed Entice and was glad that she complimented this story with little snippets of Lena and Mason's continued story as well as a sneak peek in what comes next for the Langley crew. It was a fun, sexy read that I couldn't put down. I can't wait to hear Rachel's story!
