A Tragic Wreck is book two in the beautiful mess series, and picks up right where book one ends.
Olivia Adler is running from both her past and from her future. Her relationship with Alexander Burnham is too much for her to handle and running is the only way she knows how to cope. However, hiding from the one that holds her heart is tearing Olivia apart. Forgetting is all Olivia truly wants, but her one hope to dull the pain, Cam, will not let her move on with her future until she has dealt with her past.
Alexander Burnham is broken. His Olivia has disappeared from his life again, and he wants her back. Even with a pretty women keeping his bed warm, Olivia is the only woman he can think about. He will move mountains if it is what it takes to get her back.
With secrets threatening to reveal themselves, and people wanting to hurt Olivia, a beautiful mess continues.
I have mixed feelings about A Tragic Wreck. After having listened to A Beautiful Mess, I became excited to listen to Book two and get the closure I so desperately wanted. However, after completing book two I still don't have any answers, and I am left feeling frustrated. I became attached to Olivia and Alexander in book one, but my attachment quickly become annoyance. I felt like these two needed to pull their heads out of their behinds and get on with it! I tried desperately to understand each of these characters feelings, but felt over them for most of the story. While I enjoy T.k. Leigh's writing style, A Tragic Wreck felt drawn out.
